Most ideas couples bring to us are great but few of them have been as fun to capture as Sara and Brandon&#8217;s engagement session. Sara and Brandon wanted something colorful and fun so they drew inspiration from the Indian festival of color Holi. Traditionally\u00a0this festival is a time for the Indian people celebrate the end of winter and the start of spring. During the Holi festival people take to the streets and celebrate by throwing and smearing handfuls of colored powder at each other. Not only is this a fun celebratory atmosphere for the participants of Holi it makes everyone a\u00a0multicolor symbol of\u00a0the\u00a0abundance of color that comes with spring.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"pp-insert-all size-full aligncenter\" title=\"Jacksonville Engagement Photographer\" alt=\"Jacksonville Engagement Photographer\" src=\"http:\/\/www.severine-photography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/jacksonville-engagement-session.jpg\" width=\"1350\" height=\"507\" \/>In order to bring the Holi Festival to our <a title=\"Severine Photography Studio\" href=\"http:\/\/www.severine-photography.com\">Jacksonville studio<\/a> for Sara and Brandon, it took some planning and creative placement of plastic drop clothes. \u00a0Sara and Brandon were able to find and purchase the color dye powder online and showed up to the shoot with white shirts to showcase the colors. We were able to create a safe area in the studio for them to be as messy and have as much fun throwing the dye at each other by carefully taping a plastic sheet behind the paper backdrop, two on the floor, one hanging on our boom stand for lighting, and one on a side wall in the studio. They had so much fun making each other a mess of color, and we were thrilled about how great all the photos from their session came out.
